The
Manor System – Seeding 101
Purchasing Seeds
Seeds have a level range (10 levels) which you can view by clicking on the
seed. Buy some of the seeds appropiate for your level
and also purchase a harvseter from the Manor Manager.
Seed sales reset everyday at 9pm EST. Once the seeds are sold out, they will
not restock until the next day at 9pm. .

General rule: You have to buy the seeds that correspond with the area you farm
in, but you can turn in the fruit to any manor that is buying that type of
fruit.
Note that when you use seeds, you won't get normal drops - just adena, seal stones and quest items. (If you use Alternative
Seeds you will get normal drops as well, but these have a higher fail rate and
are not usually worth investing in.)
For 100% crop harvesting rate, you, the seed, and the mob you are harvesting
must all be within that range. Otherwise, your plantation and harvest can fail.
Farming Seeds
To farm you simply target a mob of your level and click on the seed you want to
plant. You will get a system message of either planting failed or planting
succeeded. I like to put the seeds on my hotbar, as
well as the harvester.
Once you kill the mob, simply click on the harvester and it will say either
"harvest failed" or "earned [Crop Type]."
Seeding in a dungeon or where there are other +hp
mobs usually harvests more fruit per seed. Also, seeding yellow or pink mobs
can result in higher fruit per seed but may fail more often.
Scavenger dwarves can spoil and seed at the same time. Make sure that you go in
this order: seed / spoil / kill mob / harvest / sweep. If you sweep before you
harvest you will lose the fruit.
Rewards
Ok so you planted/harvested all your seeds and now you have a bunch of fruit. Time to turn it in and get your rewards.
Note, you do not get ANY adena
when turning in fruit. Instead you get materials equivalent to the buyback
price and the type of reward the castle lord set.
Talk to the manor manager in town and choose “Tally up indeginious
product”
Higlight the fruit you want to sell and then choose
the “Edit Sales” button

On the next screen you can choose what town you want
to sell your fruit too. You will see listed the towns that are currently buying
the fruit and the buyback price listed for each town. (The higher the buyback,
the more materials you will earn.)
After you decide what town you want to sell your fruit to, you must use the
drop down to select it. If you just highlight the town name then it will stay
at the default town. Then press the MAX PRICE button or type in the number of
fruits you wish to sell. If you are going to sell your fruit to a different
town than the one you are in, you WILL incur an adena
purchasing fee.
Your sale will have a confirmation screen. Double check then

Congratulations. You have sold all your fruit back and now have materials. Woot!! Now what? If they are materials you do not need,
either donate to the clan or sell them in Giran to
help finance the purchase of other materials you do need.
--------------------
Plan Ahead
Random seeding is usually risky. If you are seeding to sell the materials check
Giran and see if anyone actually wants that
particular mat in mass quantities before you purchase your seeds. What good is
having 1500 leather if you don't need them and no one else is buying them.
The best way to farm for materials using the manor system is the two-man team
in my opinion. Have a lower level character (i.e. in the proper seed level
range) seed and a significantly higher level character kill. Mobs are dark blue
to the higher level so will barely get hurt and they will kill fast. When done,
you split the fruit. Overall it's a win for both.
For example: if a dwarf can solo (using no shot or heal pots) in NoS he will seed at an approximate rate of 500/hr. When he
pairs with a high level killer, they will average near 1800/hr.
With a bit of planning beforehand you can seed most of the raw materials you
will need for crafting your gear. Refer to the chart below to help you decide
what seeds to buy and what reward you need. Team up with clanmates/friends
or even start a new low lvl character just for
seeding.

To figure out the amount of materials you will receive take the buyback price
and divide it by the game value of that material. Then multiply that amount by
the number of fruit you are turning in.
